Jair Messias Bolsonaro (Glicério, 21 maart 1955) is een Braziliaans politicus. Hij is sinds 1991 Nationaal Congreslid, was achtereenvolgens lid van acht politieke partijen en stelde zich namens de Sociaal-Liberale Partij (PSL) kandidaat voor de presidentsverkiezingen van 2018. Hij won deze verkiezingen op 28 oktober 2018 en trad op 1 januari 2019 aan als de 38e president van Brazilië. Hij verloor de presidentsverkiezingen in 2022. Op 8 januari 2023 vond een couppoging plaats in de hoofdstad waarvoor Bolsonaro werd veroordeeld door het hooggerechtshof in 2025.
